Online Absence Request Form

Parents can now submit absence requests online in their Veracross Family Portal. This process is replacing the current paper form for submitting attendance requests. All absences requests can be submitted online. 

Online Absence Form can be found under "Forms and Settings" in the Veracross Family Portal.

You can select to submit the form for single or multi-day attendance.

Single Day Absence

Select this option for one day absence. Follow the form options to complete the form. The following absence reasons require principal approval:

• Family Reasons
• Family Vacation
• School Visit
• Other

Once all the information has been completed, you should submit the request. You will not receive an email to confirm submission of the request. Email notifications are only sent for absences which require principal approval. 

Multi-Day Absence

Select this option for absences which are more than one day. You will need to select the start and end date for the absence. Only school days will be counted by the system.

The following absence reasons require principal approval:

• Family Reasons
• Family Vacation
• School Visit
• Other

Checking Student Attendance

Attendance can be checked under "Online Absence Form" by selecting the specific date for which the form was sent.
